The Dept of Education is proposing a change in the definition of professional degree programs primarily to reduce the amount of money available for federally funded student loans. This change will result in the Doctor of Physical Therapy, along with other health care providers post graduate degrees, no longer being considered a professional degree.
We are asking all physical therapists to contact their legislator and provide comments opposing this change. We are also asking all therapists to download this flyer and post it in their offices. We would like you to encourage all staff members and patients to contact their legislators to register their opposition as well.
Use the QR codes in the flyer to read APTA's statement and to be connected to your Congressional representatives to submit your comments.
